Hotel Bargain offers budget accommodation in Salzburg, Austria. We operate since 1995 in the style of a South-East Asian hostel, with friendly staff, a communal area and double rooms as well as dormitories for 4 to 6 people. Hotel Bargain is happy to offer some of the cheapest rates in all of Salzburg, a place normally known for being rather expensive.

Hotel Bargain was opened by two former backpackers, who had enjoyed their 15 years of travelling - and who ended up with the idea that a cheap hotel for young and alternative people was missing from Salzburg. They opened the Bargain Hotel in an old house they renovated from scratch in the Neustadt neighbourhood of Salzburg - and make their concept immediately a smashing success.

Hotel Bargain′s rooms are decorated in local and rustic styles, re-interpreted in an ironic, slightly alternative fashion. The rooms are all air-conditioned, clean and come with separate bathrooms (even the dormitories). Breakfast is available at Hotel Bargain, but not included. The hotel is very well-connected to the station, the airport and to overland busses. The city centre can be reached in about 10 minutes walking.

Hotel Bargain offers to rent bicycles directly from the hotel in case you want to explore the city′s periphery or surroundings. We also have map material and guidebooks in our "mini library". Hotel Bargain has a little bar attached to the communal area; drinks and snacks are served here, but you are also allowed to bring your own food and drink and prepare it in the tiny kitchen. There is also a washing machine and a tumble dryer for your disposal at low costs.

Hotel Bargain is a friendly place where people meet, socialise and exchange information - a place for travellers rather than tourists. Lockers in the reception area ensure that you can store your stuff even if you take a dorm bed. Please note that our dorm get booked up quickly during the main season in summer and before Christmas; priority is given to group bookings.
