Hotel Hallein

A very warm welcome to Hotel Hallein, or, as we say it in Austria: Servus! Our hotel is a friendly four-star house that is centrally located in the old town of Hallein, a city only some 20 kilometres south of Salzburg. Hallein is famous for the ancient salt mines, one of the oldest in the world. Our hotel is the perfect base for exploring the many sightseeing attractions of this town, for hiking in the surrounding Northern Calciferous Alps or for day-trips to places such as Salzburg, Werfen or Berchtesgaden.

Hotel Hallein has 30 double-rooms in three different categories. We have a peak season in summer and on the weekends during Advent, the four weeks before Christmas. All rooms have double-beds with an option of adding a third bed for families; bathrooms with showers, toilets and bathtubs; TV sets with cable TV; fridges with a mini bar. At the ground floor of our hotel, you will find the bar and the restaurant. The latter is open to people from the area and known as a nice, traditional Austrian inn. Enjoy rustic food of traditional Austrian cuisine with local beers or a small snack with a glass of wine. Our wine cellar is one the best and biggest in the town.

Hotel Hallein offers half-board and full-board arrangements. Special packages are available for groups and business travellers. Note that we have a meeting room with a TV set, flip charts, laptop, wireless lan and a video projector. Hotel Hallein is also a specialist in organising weddings and other large celebrations. Our restaurant can be booked for dinners and set meals, caterings or receptions. There is a room that seats up to 30 people which is ideal for smaller weddings; for bigger gatherings, we open up the space to the Gaststube, allowing the resulting room to seat up to 80 people.
