Hotel Lofer

Hotel Lofer is a cosy, family-run three star hotel in the Salzburg town of the same name. The hotel is centrally located and within easy reach from both the city of Salzburg and the county town of Zell am See. Hotel Lofer has 30 double rooms, all furnished in traditional Austrian style. It is a great base for skiing and other winter sports during the winter season; or for hiking and other Alpine sports in summer. The vicinity to places such as Salzburg means that it is perfect for day-trips to the surroundings.

Hotel Lofer has conference facilities for company retreats, presentations and seminars. Our main meeting room has a video projector, laptop, fax, internet and flip charts. It seats up to 40 people; if wanted, we can provide catering or full-board packages for business travellers and conference groups. Ask for our special discount rates for bookings off the main season. We also organise pick-up services from Salzburg airport.

Most of our guests, however, are elderly people who enjoy a vacation off the main tourism centres further south. Lofer has a respectable tourism infrastructure, but it is less crowded and busy than places such as Saalbach-Hinterglemm or Kaprun. We are happy to assist you with making plans for day-trips or hiking excursions to the surroundings. For those with a serious interest in the surrounding mountains, Hotel Lofer offers tours with certified hiking guides. Note that the Loferer Steinberge mountain range is among the most popular mountaineering areas of Austria.

Our rooms are comfortable and nice, light and clean double rooms. In some rooms, an additional bed for a child is available. If you travel in larger groups, you might be interested the holiday flats that are associated with Hotel Lofer, but contained in a separate building. Both facilities share reception and the sauna in the hotel′s basement.
