Salzburg Photos: Mozartsteg Bridge in Winter
return to "winter photos"
The Mozartsteg is a pedestrian bridge that dates back to the early
20th century. It is an Art Nouveau building made of steel and wood and featured
in "The Sound of Music". In this picture, you can also see the
monastery of the
Capuchins in the background and the neighbourhood where you will find the
Steingasse. Otherwise, there is relatively little to say about the Mozartsteg.
Note the little house right next to it - once a toll house for the bridge, this
building is now "inhabited" by a local artist who makes jewellery and sells it
there.
