A winterly impression from the district of Mülln. Situated at the northern edge of the historic Old Town or Altstadt, Mülln is popular among international tourists primarily for one reason: The Müllner Bräu or Augustiner Bräustübl. The traditional - once monastic - inn has Austria's biggest beer garden, excellent home-brewed beers and space for up to 3,000 guests. Alas, this number applies to summer - during the winter season, cosy beer halls are waiting for you just around the corner from where this picture was taken. The church in the background is the chapel of the former Leprosenhaus, now a hospital for old people.
