Webcam Salzkammergut

Salzkammergut Lake District Webcam

There are several webcam services available that specialise on travel destinations in Austria. Several of them operate webcams in the the Salzkammergut, the beautiful mountainous lake area that extends between the three provinces of Salzburg, Upper Austria and Styria. With the picturesque town of St. Gilgen and famous lakes like the Fuschlsee, Salzburg has shares in some of Austria's most popular corners. In this article, we have collected a few webcams that offer particularly good insights into the current weather situations of the Salzkammergut.

We have focused on those areas that are accessible from Salzburg; those webcams that are deeper in the Styrian or Upper Austrian parts of the Salzkammergut are arranged in a way that they cover different sections as good as possible.

Salzkammergut Webcams in Styria & Upper Austria

Wolfgangsee Webcam, not St. Gilgen: The Weißes Rössl is a famous hotel at Lake Wolfgangsee and probably all of the Salzkammergut; its website has two webcams which show the lake, but since the hotel is situated in St. Wolfgang, nothing of St. Gilgen in the strict sense of the world can be seen here.

Array of Salzkammergut Webcams: A great and nicely presented webcam collection with direct thumbnails - this is what a webcam presentation should look like!

Dachstein & Gosausee Webcam: The Gosautal and Dachstein area are mainly part of the Upper Austrian and Styrian Salzkammergut. This is a nice webcam showing the Dachstein massiv with a second webcam on the Gosaukamm mountain range.

Hallstatt Webcam: The famous salt mine town in the Salzkammergut, Hallstatt, is presented here in live images directly from local webcams. In addition, there are several webcams presented here for different parts of the Salzkammergut that are close to Hallstatt. Very well-done.

Grundlsee Webcam: Lake Grundlsee one of the most famous lakes in the Salzkammergut, and here is the website to check the current weather situation of it. Nicely presented on a private website.

Vorchdorf Webcam: The municipality of Vorchdorf powers this webcam and maintains it; it shows the curch of the town and the local castle (Schloss Hochhaus).

Bad Ischl Webcams: From this page, you can access five different webcams that show the Salzkammergut's most famous spa town - the Imperial Bad Ischl, once holiday destination of the Habsburg family.
