St. Sebastian, wooden statue in Salzburg

This wooden statue of St. Sebastian is on display on a private house in Salzburg. A more famous depiction of the same saint can be found on the wall of the Sebastianskirche, a Baroque church in Linzergasse. The church is famous for its Baroque cemetery, which was built under the rule of Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau in the early 17th century. It was modelled after similar Italian cemeteries and is home to the tombs of many eminent Salzburg families, including the Mozart family. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's widow Konstanze is buried at St. Sebastian, alongside with his father Leopold Mozart. Other celebrity corpses of St. Sebastian include the doctor Theophrastus Paracelsus and Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau himself.
